traditions of greece : The pace of the day a Greek is not really the same as that of a European non-Southern. It starts early, with a long morning that ends with the méssiméri (noon), the rather undefined (13 h-15 h) used to take a snack and then it's nap (easily up to 17 h-17 h 30, Silence in the ranks!) preceding afternoon (apoghevma), when activity resumes (roughly up to 20 h). The "little evening" (vradaki) is dedicated to the volta, the walk to the port or place, it's time for civility and certainly not time to eat (cf. passeggiata in Sicily). Then the evening can begin, the meal does not begin before 22 am on more often.
